The Eaton 9155 Marine UPS is a proven, purpose-built online double-conversion UPS for marine, offshore, and vessel applications. Available from 8kVA to 40kVA, the 9155 Marine is DNV GL type approved, Bureau Veritas (BV) type approved, and ABS design assessed (up to 15kVA) - meeting the most stringent classification requirements for installation on vessels classed by DNV, BV, and ABS worldwide.

With its compact tower design, internal batteries, vibration absorbers, IP22 protection class, and front-only maintenance access, the 9155 Marine is engineered for the physical and electrical realities of shipboard and offshore platform installations. Online Double-Conversion Power Protection
The 9155 Marine uses transformer-free IGBT double-conversion topology (VFI class), providing complete isolation of connected equipment from all mains input anomalies including voltage fluctuations, frequency variations, and waveform distortion common in onboard generator power. Zero transfer time in the event of a mains failure.

Active Power Factor Correction (PFC)
Input power factor of 0.99 and input harmonic distortion below 4.5% ITHD - eliminating interference with other critical equipment on the same vessel network and improving generator compatibility. The 9155 Marine does not require oversizing for modern 0.9 power factor rated equipment.

Patented Eaton HotSync Paralleling Technology
HotSync enables parallel operation of up to four 9155 Marine UPS units for N+1 redundancy or increased capacity - without communication lines between units. Eliminating the parallel communication cable removes the single point of failure that exists in conventional parallel UPS architectures. Load sharing is automatic.

Eaton ABM Battery Management
Advanced Battery Management (ABM) charges batteries only when necessary, using a three-stage intelligent charging process. This prevents battery corrosion and extends VRLA battery service life by up to 50% compared to conventional float charging. ABM also monitors battery condition continuously and provides early warning of end-of-life.

Extensive Voltage Configurability
Standard nominal input voltages of 380V, 400V, and 415V (50/60Hz). With internal or external optional transformers, the 9155 Marine can be configured for virtually any vessel electrical standard from 230V to 690V - including 440V, 480V, and 690V systems common in marine and offshore applications.

Frequency Converter Operation
Configurable for frequency converter operation in both directions: 50Hz to 60Hz and 60Hz to 50Hz - supporting vessels operating between different regional power standards.

Internal Bypass Switches
Both internal automatic static bypass and internal mechanical manual bypass are included as standard - providing a safe maintenance path without requiring external bypass equipment.

  • VRLA (Valve-Regulated Lead-Acid) - standard, maintenance-free internal batteries

  • NiCad (Nickel-Cadmium) - for high-temperature or wide temperature range applications

  • Lithium-Ion - extended service life, faster recharge, reduced weight

Multilingual Graphical LCD Display
Full graphical LCD control panel with backlit mimic screen. Configurable and multilingual for international vessel crews.

X-Slot Communications
Two X-Slot communication bays accept optional Web/SNMP, ModBus/JBus, Relay, HotSync, and ViewUPS-X remote display cards. Serial port and 2 programmable relay inputs / 1 programmable relay output as standard.
