UPS Maintenance Plans Australia

Indigi Power & Cooling offers three UPS maintenance plans — a One-Off Service from $720, a Standard Plan from $1,940 per year, and a quoted Critical Care Plan for 24/7 mission-critical sites — so a small office, a mid-sized factory, and a data centre can each match service intensity to operational risk and budget.

A UPS only protects your business if it works the moment the power drops, and the right maintenance plan is what keeps it ready. Every plan is delivered by manufacturer-trained technicians covering electrical inspection, battery testing, calibration, environmental checks and documented reporting. Pick the plan that matches how critical your power is, and we'll tailor the scope to your exact site.

1. One-Off Service — From $720 ex GST (Metro)

Best for: small offices, retail stores, branch sites, first-time inspections and post-incident health checks.

Frequency: as required.

Includes:

  • Visual inspection of UPS, switchgear and battery cabinets
  • Battery impedance, voltage and load tests
  • Environmental checks (temperature, humidity, ventilation)
  • Capacitor and fan condition assessment
  • Detailed written report with photos and recommendations

The fastest way to confirm your UPS will carry the load when the grid drops, plus a documented baseline for future service. Book a one-off UPS service →

2. Standard Plan — From $1,940 ex GST per Year

Best for: commercial buildings, factories, schools and offices that depend on always-on power.

Frequency: every 6 to 12 months.

Includes everything in One-Off, plus:

  • Operational load and transfer testing
  • Calibration of alarms, set-points and bypass

UPS Maintenance Plans FAQ

How often should a UPS be serviced?

Most manufacturers including APC, Eaton and Vertiv recommend preventive UPS maintenance every 6 to 12 months for single-phase systems, and at least twice a year for three-phase systems. Mission-critical sites usually opt for quarterly visits with continuous remote monitoring.

What's the difference between the One-Off Service and the Standard Plan?

A One-Off Service is a single visit, ideal for inspections or post-incident checks, with no ongoing commitment. The Standard Plan adds operational testing, calibration, priority fault response and an annual compliance report, scheduled automatically every 6 or 12 months.

Do your prices include GST?

No. Listed prices are ex GST. The $720 One-Off Service price applies to metropolitan callouts. Regional and remote-area surcharges may apply.

Which UPS brands do you service?

We service all UPS systems and brands. This includes APC, Eaton, Vertiv (Liebert), Socomec, PowerShield, Riello, CyberPower, Schneider Electric, ABB, Mitsubishi and Delta — single-phase and three-phase, from 1kVA to multi-hundred-kVA modular systems.

Do my batteries need replacing during maintenance?

Not always. VRLA batteries typically last 3 to 5 years and lithium-ion 8 to 10 years. We test impedance, voltage and runtime at every visit and only recommend replacement when readings indicate degradation. See our battery maintenance and replacement options.

Can the Critical Care Plan be customised?

Yes. Critical Care is built around your site's load criticality, SLA targets, change-window policy and existing monitoring, which is why it's quoted on consultation.

UPS Maintenance Plans by Location

All three plans are delivered by manufacturer-trained technicians dispatched from three national service hubs:

Brisbane & QLD

Brisbane CBD • Woolloongabba • Port of Brisbane • Logan • Ipswich • Sunshine Coast • Gold Coast • North Queensland

Our Brisbane HQ services Southeast Queensland and regional QLD. Given the high ambient temperature here, we recommend the Standard Plan or above for most metro and regional QLD sites to keep battery testing on a 6-month cycle.

Sydney & NSW

Sydney CBD • Parramatta • Western Sydney • North Ryde • Macquarie Park • Newcastle • Wollongong • Canberra (ACT)

Supporting data centres, telecommunications infrastructure, government facilities and healthcare across Sydney and greater NSW — many of these sites run on our Critical Care Plan.

Melbourne & VIC

Melbourne CBD • Port Melbourne • Dandenong • West Footscray • Tullamarine • Geelong • Bendigo • Regional Victoria

Flexible plan scheduling for industrial and 24/7 operational environments across Melbourne and regional Victoria, including the Port Melbourne–Tullamarine data centre corridor.

Darwin & NT

Darwin CBD • Palmerston • Howard Springs • Katherine • Alice Springs • Remote NT infrastructure

Northern Territory sites face some of the harshest UPS operating conditions in Australia. We recommend at least the Standard Plan with 6-month battery checks for Darwin and remote NT sites. Our technicians fly in from Brisbane for scheduled visits.

Adelaide & SA

Adelaide CBD • Port Adelaide • Salisbury • Elizabeth • Mount Gambier • Whyalla • Regional SA

Supporting data centres, industrial facilities, healthcare and defence contractors across South Australia, serviced from our Melbourne hub on dedicated SA visit schedules for contracted clients.

Western Australia & Tasmania: our technicians travel from Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne hubs to deliver maintenance plans in Perth, Hobart, and regional WA and Tasmania. Contact us to discuss scheduling for these locations.
