The Vertiv Liebert ITA2 20kVA is a rack or tower online double-conversion UPS delivering 20 kW at unity (1.0) power factor with three-phase power, protecting critical loads across Australia. The Vertiv Liebert ITA2 is a fully digital, online double-conversion UPS built for data centre racks and critical three-phase distribution. True online double-conversion protection

The ITA2 20kVA is a VFI-SS-111 online double-conversion UPS, which means incoming mains is rectified to DC and rebuilt into a clean sine wave by the inverter, and your load always runs from that inverter. There is no transfer time when the mains fails, and mains-borne problems such as sags, spikes, frequency drift and harmonics never reach your equipment. For data centre racks and critical three-phase distribution, that is the difference between conditioned, uninterrupted power and a UPS that only reacts once a problem has already passed through.

Efficiency and running costs

Running cost matters over the life of a UPS. The 20 kVA reaches up to 96.5% efficiency in full online double-conversion mode, so very little of your energy is lost as heat, which also reduces the cooling load in the room. Where the supply is stable enough, ECO mode lifts efficiency to up to 99% for further savings. Intelligent variable-speed fans add to this by running only as fast as the load and temperature require, keeping noise to around 60 dBA and cutting energy use at partial load.

Communications and monitoring

The 20 kVA integrates with your monitoring and building management systems out of the box. It provides voltage-free (dry) contact ports, a USB interface and a Vertiv IntelliSlot bay for an SNMP, Modbus or relay card, plus an integrated network port with HTTP access for browser-based monitoring. That lets your team see UPS status, load and battery health remotely and trigger a graceful server shutdown before the battery is exhausted. Programmable output terminals let you shed non-critical outlets first during a long outage, protecting the most important equipment.

Battery management and extended runtime

A wide input voltage window lets the 20 kVA keep drawing from the mains or a generator across a broad range before it calls on the battery, which reduces cycling and prolongs battery life. When backup is needed, a powerful charger (13 A) restores the string quickly after an outage. Automatic and manual self-tests flag a weak battery early, and temperature-compensated charging protects battery life in warm rooms. Runtime scales with battery modules or external cabinets, so the same UPS can cover a brief generator handover or a longer ride-through.
